Honoring the Life and Legacy of Charlie Kirk

We extend our deepest condolences to the friends and family of Charlie Kirk, and we pray for them as well as for those who witnessed his tragic and untimely death.

Our most urgent prayer, however, is for the soul of our nation.

Charlie once said, “If you believe in something, you need to have the courage to fight for those ideas — not run away from them or try and silence them.” His words remind us that conviction requires courage, and that truth demands a voice. The generation he inspired is now stepping into its own, and though Charlie is no longer with us, we carry the responsibility to continue his life’s work.

May we find strength in the principles that unite us as Americans. May we honor the blessings of liberty and opportunity that have been handed down through sacrifice. And may we never lose gratitude for living in a country that secures the inalienable rights recognized at its founding and protected by generations who came before us.

Let us embrace more boldly the freedoms that make our Republic strong — the right to assemble, to debate respectfully, and to pursue truth without fear. Let us not shy away from hard battles, but instead strengthen our voices and sharpen our intellect so they do not falter in the face of ignorance or contempt. Let liberty endure, and let the best of America prevail.

We are called not only to remember him, but to carry his work forward — to speak boldly, to stand firm, and to ensure that freedom and virtue remain the inheritance of generations yet to come.

May his memory and faith inspire us to lead with courage, conviction, and gratitude.

Sincerely,

Summit County Republican Party Leadership Team
