Andy Lark Incumbent Candidate, Summit Councilman At-Large, Nov. 2009
Andy Lark Mr. Lark is already well-known to the community as a member of Summit’s Common Council, presently serving in the last year of his second term in office as Councilman, Ward 2. Leading up to his election in 2004, Mr. Lark served on Summit’s Zoning Board of Adjustments, helped lead the restoration of Mount Olive Temple, and founded Summit’s Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service activities. Mr. Lark is a Trusts & Estates practitioner in NY and NJ. He earned his undergraduate degree at the College of William and Mary and his law degree at Washington and Lee University School of Law. Nuris Portuondo Candidate, Summit Councilwoman, Ward I, Nov. 2009
Nuris Portuondo-Molina Ms. Portuono, a twelve year resident of Summit, is a partner in the law firm of SCHWARTZ SIMON EDELSTEIN CELSO & KESSLER in Florham Park. She received her undergraduate degree at Purdue University and earned her law degree at Hofstra University School of Law. Ms. Portuondo has served on Summit’s Zoning Board of Adjustment and as Trustee of the United Way of Summit, New Providence and Berkeley Heights, and also of The Connection in Summit. She and her husband Carlos Molina have two children, both of whom attended Summit’s public schools - one is a junior at Summit High School and the other is attending college in Massachusetts. Rich Madden Candidate, Summit Councilman Ward II, Nov. 2009
Rich Madden Mr. Madden has made Summit his home since 1983 after a an extensive and varied career: VP/general manager at Pirelli; President of Nortron Corporation; CEO of U.S. Affiliates of Semperit of Austria & Kleber of France; CEO of Addidas USA; Chairman of Mars Management Company and then CEO of Fleet Team Inc. Mr. Madden embarked on this career after serving with distinction in the Marine Corps, receiving his undergraduate degree at the U.S. Naval Academy, and receiving his MBA from Harvard University.
